Springtime Update

We have been slacking for a long time now. This is a post I wrote several weeks ago which only scratches the surface of what a busy and fun spring we had. It's hard to believe spring is over and as of yesterday, summer vacation has begun. More updates to follow....

There is something miraculous about this time of year. I love seeing tulips push up through the dirt after a long, cold winter and feeling the grass tickle my toes when it's finally warm enough to be outside barefoot. I love eating lunch and dinner outside on warm days and smelling the sweet air as the blossoms bloom. Spring is just a delicious season.

For our family, this time of year is made even better because it is birthday season. Isaac recently celebrated his fifth birthday, and five days later, Henry turned three. (Yay! We made it through the twos!) We love these boys so much and celebrated each of them and all that they mean to our family.

We have been busy with soccer, t-ball, school performances and ballet recitals.

We celebrated the first of May with a great snowstorm.

Later in the day, as I was fixing dinner, the doorbell rang and I got a surprise from the May Day Fairy. On my front porch was a tiny bouquet tied with a big pink bow, and a note from the fairy herself. (Who knew there was such a thing as the May Day Fairy? Aren't I a lucky Mom to get a visit from her?)

It has been a wonderful spring for our family. We are so glad winter is over and it's starting to warm up. I really think Henry summed it up best when I looked outside and saw this:
